A buffer basin and a pumping station equipped with FB Bar Screens

Aug 10, 2021

Just before the summer period, two “FB Procédés” vertical automatic Bar screens were installed in the Marne department, a few meters from each other.

What is their role? One is designed to filter “dry weather” wastewater and protect the pumps of the delivery station located downstream; the other to screen “rainy weather” water and prevent the arrival of waste in the buffer basin.

Equipped with a 50mm bar spacing, these two Bar screens operate with a speed variation due to their high height (almost 9000mm). The aim is to optimize the time of a cycle (1 descent and 1 ascent), while maintaining an adequate speed in strategic places, namely when cleaning the grid and ejecting waste.

Their respective “FB Procédés” electrical control panel are attached to the side of the upper frames.
