2 bar screens on a stormwater network

Oct 31, 2023news

At the end of October, our technicians Cédric and Geoffrey replaced two competing bar screens in the Paris region, which had been installed on a stormwater network for several years. Instead, we installed two XG12 bar screens.

One of the big differences in terms of technology between the old and new bar screens is that the former were cable-operated, whereas the latter have a single, central strap. It's worth remembering that each bar screen is 2000mm wide. With FB Procédés technology, a single strap is all that's needed, whatever the screen width. The strap is supplied at the right length, so no adjustments are necessary. Last but not least, a strap can be changed in 15 minutes, without having to stop the effluent, from the installation plan, and therefore in complete safety. Just like the rest of our spare parts.

At the customer's request, we have also dismantled the conveyor line, as screenings will now be discharged directly into waste bins beneath the screen hoppers.

In terms of the duration of our intervention, from dismantling the existing equipment to commissioning the new one, it took us two full days.

If you have similar requirements, please do not hesitate to contact our sales team.
