For over 30 years, FB PROCÉDÉS has been designing, manufacturing, and installing rotary distributors for trickling filters, relying on the core values that have built our reputation: simplicity, efficiency, and reliability. Each installation is unique, so our rotary distributors are custom-designed and sized—based on the diameter of the filter, the required flow rate, and hydraulic and structural constraints—to ensure uniform water distribution on the packing and optimal performance, whether for new projects or refurbishments.
Variable flow rate of rotary distributors for trickling filters.
While ensuring excellent distribution, the flow rate of the rotary distributor can be variable, including significant fluctuations to accommodate seasonal needs (e.g., handling the tourist season), daily variations (e.g., managing reduced nighttime flow), or to address evolving situations over the medium and long term.
These flow variations are managed internally within the rotary distributors and automatically.
Top or bottom feed
All installation scenarios are possible, with one or multiple influent inlets from the top or bottom, or even both simultaneously in the case of a mounted rotary distributor.
The rotary distributor, attached to a flange in waiting, can either be mounted or suspended.
In the suspended versions, the beam is often provided with the rotary distributor, thus optimizing the installation of the inlet pipelines.
Rotary distributor with or without motorization.
Whether mounted or suspended, the rotary distributors can be motorized, allowing for remote speed variation depending on the desired Sk. Even motorized rotary distributors can revert to a gravity-fed configuration in case of electrical issues. This provides a guarantee of reliability for the operator.
Uniform distribution
It's vital to have the most uniform distribution possible. This is why each distribution opening has a unique position, and the calculation of all openings is spread over 2, 4 or 6 arms.
In the case of a variable flow rate with a ratio greater than or equal to 2 and a 4-arm sprinkler, and in order to achieve uniform distribution while maintaining good motricity, an initial flow rate will supply only 2 arms and a higher flow rate will supply all 4 arms; the changeover from 2 to 4 arm supply is made automatically by an adjustable threshold. This guarantees uniform distribution at all flow rates.

Each rotary distributor is unique in its characteristics and specifications.
FB Procédés has perfect mastery of the hydraulic calculations required and, thanks to its experience in designing and manufacturing welded assemblies, is capable of addressing all scenarios, whether for new projects or refurbishments.
