A bar screen in a polyester substation
In early October, we installed a bar screen/compaction screw unit in a «polyester» station, where wastewater from a 60-room hotel arrives.
As you can see from the photos, the bar screen is installed against the vertical wall, facing the effluent inlet pipe. This provides effective protection for the downstream pumps.
The advantage of this layout is that there is no need to install a specific bar screen manhole upstream of the substation. We would also point out that all maintenance operations are carried out from level «TN».
It took just one day for our technicians to set up the system and train the operating personnel.
