PROSTEP installed in Vendée

May 6, 2019

Two years after the installation of the first PROSTEP, this new 100% FB Procédés bar screen continues to make its mark.

In fact, we're continuing to make it more reliable and optimize its efficiency in line with feedback from operators and our own experience. Before looking to the bigger picture, we aim first and foremost to fully satisfy our customers with small-scale installations, as is the case with this wastewater treatment plant in the Vendée region.

The bar screen is fed by an overhead channel. Screening rejects are discharged into a compacting screw, which returns the waste to a skip located at «Terrain Naturel» level, via a downspout.

In the event of an incident on the bar screen, the effluent is diverted to a bypass channel equipped with a manual grid, directly linked to a specific trough on the compacting screw.
